Meet your back-up doula, Rachel!

Hi there, I’m Rachel. I am a certified birth doula, midwife assistant, and aspiring home birth midwife. I started birth work in 2024 after being inspired by the amazing support I received from my doulas during my first birth!

I have two children, Ezra and Eden, who have opposite birth stories that are beautiful in their own ways: a 46 hour, grueling medicated hospital birth managed by an OB, and a 2 hour, intense home birth supported by a licensed midwife (who didn’t quite make it in time to catch my baby!).

As a doula, I’ve supported medicated, unmedicated and caesarean section births, and all of them have solidified that each birth is sacred and special. My hope is that all families feel safe and empowered to trust their intuition and God’s design while making confident, informed decisions during their birth journey.

Common Questions about our Doula Services

FAQs

What is the financial investment?

The investment for this offering is $2,000. This covers prenatal appointments, birth doula services, and the on call time required. The full payment will be due by 36 weeks pregnant, or upon booking if booking after 36 weeks. (Payment plans can be made available upon communication with Trinity).

What happens if Trinity cannot make the birth?

In the event that Trinity cannot attend the birth due but not limited to emergency, weather, illness or any unforeseen circumstance, a back up doula will be provided. Options to meet and get to know this back up doula prior to birth will be an available option as well.

In the rare case that both doulas are unavailable, the doula service will be taken off of your required payment.

How far in advance can I book?

Booking is available as soon or far out as you’d like! :) Availability is limited, however, so it is more unlikely to be able to book last minute.

What is the cancelation policy?

Due to the limited number of clients accepted and the reservation of availability for each Client, this offering is non-refundable (specific exceptions apply).

In the case that a prenatal appointment simply needs to be rescheduled, this is permitted without penalty. The client will still be responsible for payment of any appointments missed or ultimately canceled.

Is financial assistance available?

RX Kids provides a program that aids in financial assistance during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. $1,500 is provided during mid pregnancy, and another $500 per month for at least the first 6 months after birth. No strings attached, and it can be used for any expense. This is an incredible resource to take advantage of and put towards intentional prepping and healing care to give you the best perinatal experience possible.

Visit rxkids.org for all of the information.

What regions does Solena serve?

Solena currently serves the Marquette, Negaunee, Ishpeming, Gwinn, Munising, Gladstone and Escanaba areas.

Client Testimonials

“There’s no way for me to accurately put into words who Trinity is or what a blessing she was during my first birth, but I’ll try. She is one of those people you immediately feel comfortable with, no matter how long you’ve known her. Her loving, grounding presence was exactly what I needed during the sensitive seasons of pregnancy and early motherhood. She is both strong and soft, and she holds space in a way that allows you to process the rapid emotional changes that come with becoming a parent.

During the delivery of my first daughter, Trinity was an incredible advocate-stepping in and clearly communicating my wishes to hospital staff when I was deep in labor and unable to do so myself. She also kept my husband helpful and fed when he started to get dizzy from not eating throughout labor, which speaks to her calm awareness of everyone in the room. Beyond the birth, she was an invaluable sounding board in those early days of motherhood, offering reassurance and support when everything felt new and overwhelming. Her presence made a lasting difference for our family, and I am deeply grateful to have had her by our side.”
